History of Dental Laboratory Technology Department in Tehran University of Medical Sciences

Dental Laboratory Technology is a branch of dental sciences with the knowledge of fabricating different types of implant and dental and maxillofacial prostheses. This field aims to educate students to be efficient bachelors of modern laboratory management with good level of education and experiment. TUMS started “Dental Laboratory Technology” in 1966. For years, it was a two-year program with diploma certificate, but in 2009 the curriculum was revised and the course was updated to bachelor of Dental Laboratory Technology in a four-year program.
