A four-day endodontics workshop was held at the Faculty of Dentistry of Tehran University of Medical Sciences with the presence of Dr. Fatima Betul Bashturk from Turkey.
According to the public relations report of Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Faculty of Dentistry, a
four-day workshop was held by Dr. Fatima Betul Bashturk from Gelisim University in Turkey. This
workshop included four lectures and three practical workshops. During this workshop professors,
assistants, and students of the endodontics department were present.
On first day, Dr. Fatima Bashturk gave a lecture on proper amalgam removal techniques and new safety
tips for amalgam removal. She also discussed methods of tooth isolation using rubberdam in a practical
workshop held at the faculty's preclinic.
On second day of this panel, topics were discussed about diagnostic solutions for emergency patients,
and in the workshop of the same day, the methods of preventing tooth breakage and subsequent root
canal treatment were discussed.
On third day, Dr. Bashturk presented materials on geriatric and various considerations regarding the
aging of the population and the needs of the elderly community for dental treatments and optimal
methods of managing the treatment of elderly patients in the field of endodontics, as well as a
workshop on the same day about bioceramic sealers.
On last day, in the presence of Dr. Mohammad Hossein Ayati, International Vice President of the
University, Dr. Amir Hossein Mirhashmi, International Vice Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Ahmadreza
Shamshiri, Financial and Administrative Vice President, and a group of professors and specialist
assistants of the Endodentics Department, Dr. Bashturk was honored with a Certificate of appreciation
and gift.
