History of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology Department in Tehran University of Medical Sciences

Department of oral and maxillofacial pathology of Tehran University of Medical sciences as the first department of oral pathology in Iran, established by DR. Esmail Yazdi in 1965. In this department, from 1965 to today, various faculty members have been working. During these years, they have been involved in the 43 courses for training dentistry students and 23 courses for the specialist assistants in the field of oral and maxillofacial. The Oral Pathology group has also been designing and implementing a number of research programs over the years that have been published in the form of dissertations as well as numerous articles published in various domestic and foreign journals.
