History of Oral and maxillofacial surgery Department in Tehran University of Medical Sciences

In 1929, a part of Massoudieh's mansion and a little later Sa’d al-Dawlah's mansion was allocated for the formation of a dental school. With the advances made in this field, there was a need for expansion of space, and as a result, the dentistry school was transferred to a new site called Dr. Motamed Garden, that the surgery was carried out in part of this building. The dental school started with minimal facilities and moved to its new location at Tehran University since 1937.
