History of Oral and Maxillofacial Medicine Department in Tehran University of Medical Sciences

In 1937 this department was in combination with the Periodontics Department and was headed by Dr Farzin. The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Medicine has main role in leading patient care, teaching and research for about 30 years independently. All the members are Oral and Maxillofacial Medicine specialists and have been graduated from Iranian dental schools. There are 2 courses that offer in international level for postgraduates; Oral and Maxillofacial Medicine specialty and pain fellowship.
