Educational activities
The curriculum is designed for three groups: undergraduate students, postgraduate students of Endodontics, Prosthodontics and Restorative Dentistry, and Ph.D. candidates. For undergraduate students, units are presented in the fourth, sixth and ninth semesters and the curriculum for the postgraduate students are presented in the first year. The curriculum for the Ph.D. course is planned for four-five years. Also, foreign postgraduate students can apply for this course.
Research activities
The research activities of the group are aimed at improving the research skills of faculty members, postgraduate and undergraduate students in the form of the following functions:
- Weekly journal clubs
- Participation of the members in training courses about writing articles and research methodology
- Adjustment, registration and implementation of research projects according to the research priorities of the group
- Preparation of scientific articles and its publication in prestigious scientific journals
- Design and implementation of undergraduate and postgraduate theses
- Active participation in the journal of dentistry of Tehran University of Medical Sciences, and collaboration with other prestigious national and international journals
- Participation in national and international congresses and meetings
- Collaborate with other faculty departments and research centers
- Research activities in education to improve educational status
