Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Tehran University of Medical Sciences School of Dentistry and Airlangga University, Indonesia
The School of Dentistry, Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) and Airlangga University, Indonesia, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at expanding scientific, educational, and research collaborations during a virtual meeting attended by the deans and vice deans of both institutions.
According to the Public Relations Office of TUMS School of Dentistry, the virtual signing ceremony was held on August 25, 2025 (4 Shahrivar 1404).
During the meeting, Dr. Bahman Seraj, Dean of the TUMS School of Dentistry, and Dr. Muhammad Luthfi, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry at Airlangga University, emphasized the importance of strengthening international partnerships and enhancing academic cooperation between the two universities.
Under this agreement, the two institutions will promote faculty and student exchanges, joint research projects, international workshops and training courses, and overall academic capacity building in various fields of dentistry.
As part of this ongoing collaboration, two students from TUMS School of Dentistry — Mobin Ehsaninia and Hossein Sobhani — are currently participating in training programs at Airlangga University.
In recognition of his valuable and continuous efforts in establishing and fostering this partnership, Dr. Amir Raei Dehqi has been appointed as the TUMS representative for international collaborations with Airlangga University.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Dr. Seraj described the signing of the MoU as a significant step toward the internationalization of dental education and research, expressing hope that this collaboration will lead to fruitful scientific and educational outcomes for both faculty and students of the two universities.
